Rick's Desert Grill

Rick's is across the street from the hotel and it is old school, classic, authentic cuisine.  These guys don't buy "in a jug" eggs, they crack them....and everything is authentic!  We are proud to see such places still exist.
They really want to showcase the history of Palm Springs.  Very old school.  Plus, if there were any doubt....a guy walked past our booth and I saw he was wearing a gun...being Texan I thought, wow, we influence California!  Then another guy walked in wearing a gun....and I thought, wow, this is my kind of town, a real cowboy place!  Then two more and I began to think this wasn't a coincidence!  If detectives dine here, you know the food is good!  Officers alway know the best places for breakfast!
This is old school authentic - it's not hard to be real! You just have to crack a few eggs rather than pop a jug.   Real hash, real egg...real sausage!
This was so awesome I bought it two days in a row!  That Serrano pepper really made the dish!  Nice heat in the dessert.  Perfect!  On another note, they did a PERFECT Eggs Benedict on our last day!  It was devoured before photos could be taken so it is not shown here. I even asked the waitress to make sure it was done correctly and she just smiled, "we never send them out unless they are perfect."
