Solvang Revisited!

5/4/2019

The Bon Vivant Gourmets have been returning to Solving since 2010!  It feels like home and there is just something magical about the place.  At first glance, it might appear to be a "fake" European village but it is a completely real American town, founded by the Danish.  In fact, it is better than the average American town:  it has wine tasting rooms, 3 fantastic formal dining restaurants that are absolutely outstanding, and plenty of unique shops specializing in a wide range of gourmet and exquisite items.
Everything except for a few wineries (7 p.m.) and restaurants (9 or 10 p.m.) closes around 6 p.m.  However, wondering the streets and alleyways of Solvang at night can be a beautiful adventure!
Since 2010, the Bon Vivant Gourmets have stayed with our kind friends at the Wine Valley Inn.  It's a wonderful place with charm and Danish motives - a free buffet breakfast (eggs, hash browns, sausage, toast, bagels, local Danishes, yogurts, hard boiled eggs, orange juice, coffee, etc....) is included.  A more comprehensive covering of the Wine Valley Inn is presented in previous posts below.
