The Las Palomas Hotel is a luxury hotel located just a few blocks from the Georgia O'Keefe museum and Casa Chimayo in downtown Santa Fe. It is built in the quintessential Pueblo Revival style with beautiful, earthy pastels and bright colors. It is very well maintained, very clean, and provides plenty of parking. The hotel also provides complimentary shuttle service within one mile.
Art and culture are themes in Santa Fe and both are very well represented in the hotel. The lobby has a large local artisinal carpet, art from local artists and maintains the distinct, natural feeling of the area. Each morning, a gratuitous (and ample) buffet is just off the lobby in the cafe area, where the builders of the hotel preferred to construct around a tree, rather than cut it down.
When selecting a room, if possible, chose the multi-room suites - they are large and luxurious with wood-burning fireplaces, (additional wood is placed outside the front door each evening), expansive, private patios, and spacious living rooms. Local ceramics, art, and natural wood beams complement the theme throughout.
